About The Position

Temp Union Payroll Specialist - Temporary, Onsite - San Rafael - $35 to 40/hr We are seeking an experienced Union Payroll Specialist to support weekly payroll processing for a local 100+ employee construction firm. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ relevant and recent experience. You will enjoy a friendly, collaborative work environment as an independent contributor at this family-based firm. This role requires working on-site initially to allow for proper training and knowledge transfer, with option for hybrid once fully trained. Start Date: Monday February 23, 2026 Length : 1 month + possible temp to hire Location: On site in San Rafael (Terra Linda) Pay: $35–$40+ per hour Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible start/end times

Requirements

• 3+ years of Union, certified payroll experience
• Ability to independently manage payroll from start to finish
• Comfortable working onsite in San Rafael

Nice To Haves

• Spanish/English bilingual (highly preferred)
• Construction industry, field-based experience is ideal
• Sage 100 or Quickbooks experience preferred
• Experience processing weekly payroll cycles

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for field employees, including crews and foremen
• Review and manage electronic timecards using ExakTime
• Enter and finalize payroll data in Sage 100
• Handle union payroll and certified payroll reports
• Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely submission
• Perform light general administrative tasks outside of payroll days
