About The Position

About the Role: As a CBRE Union Mobile Route Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting a major telecommunications client by ensuring the optimal operation of their critical sites. You will be responsible for providing preventive maintenance and performing corrective repairs on a variety of building systems, industrial equipment, vehicles, and grounds across multiple locations. CBRE is committed to your success and will provide you with a company van, all necessary tools, and the resources you need to excel in this role. This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, dedicated to providing comprehensive support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on essential equipment and systems. What You'll Do: Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems for multiple facilities to keep building systems up to applicable standards as assigned. Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair, and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools. Oversee implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Review inspections to building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client. Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety. Operate the company-provided vehicle in the execution of daily work responsibilities. Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. Demonstrate a broad knowledge of your job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. You may need to convince others to reach an agreement. Impact the quality of your own work and the work of others on the team. Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal CFC certification required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Tact and diplomacy to exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical way.
  • Ability to effectively use a personal computer and/or PDA for the work order system, email, ESS, and training.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
