About the Role: As a CBRE Union Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You'll Do: Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety. Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Complete upkeep and repair records as required. Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment systems. Troubleshoot and repair installed systems including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC. Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Maintain lighting systems throughout facility. This includes cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. Maintain property grounds by performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, and snow removal. Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed. Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance. Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Impact the quality of own work. Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
