About The Position

As a CBRE Union Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing general preventive maintenance and corrective repair for buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. This role is crucial to maintaining a safe, functional, and efficient environment for our client.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to utilize existing procedures to effectively solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and applying standard practices to make sound judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and a naturally inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company policies related to building operations and work safety.
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, respond to emergencies, and execute preventive maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate and complete upkeep and repair records.
  • Review assigned work orders, estimate time and material requirements, and order necessary supplies to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
  • Diagnose and repair a variety of installed systems, including plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop equipment, and HVAC systems.
  • Inspect new installations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, including cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Maintain property grounds by performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, and snow removal.
  • Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance when required.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Directly impact the quality of your own work and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.
  • Work within established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
