You must join Local SIEU within 90 days Day, Swing, Grave & Weekend shifts are available What this job involves This position requires strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), established cleaning policies and procedures, to maintain compliance with quality standards and FDA regulations. This position will follow all applicable standard operation procedures (SOP), guidelines and policies to ensure sanitary conditions are maintained, that appropriate room and equipment sanitization records are neat and accurate, and that professional behavior is displayed within the controlled areas. The position plays a critical role in assuring sanitary conditions of the controlled areas is maintained to manufacture biopharmaceuticals. This position may be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime if required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience of cleaning a biopharmaceutical GMP controlled environment is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication - reading and writing
  • Computer experience
  • Attention to detail is required
  • Excellent attendance record

  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Providing excellent customer service with both internal and external customers

Responsibilities

  • Perform sanitization and cleaning per governing SOPs in GMP spaces
  • Participate in required training on the use of sanitization disinfectants and equipment
  • Sanitization activities will be performed with ceiling mops, wall mops, floor mops, and wipers
  • Responsible for verifying that the proper sanitization disinfectant is followed and that the proper sanitization disinfectant is used for each cleaning assignment
  • Understands and follows proper solvent handling procedures (EHS) and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste from GMP manufacturing process area waste receptacles on a daily basis
  • Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring technicians adhere to SOP and cleaning practices
  • Provide support, guidance, and training (technical and SOP compliance) to the union cleaning crew
  • Responsible for completing, reviewing, and verifying required GMP documentation at the end of each shift to ensure adherence to GDP and records are properly and accurately maintained
  • Responsible for organization and upkeep of sanitization supply areas
  • Support inventory of general sanitization supplies and gowning supplies, working with the Supervisor and GMP Cleaning coordinator
  • Performs related duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with Supervisors, Operational Compliance, and GMP Operations Manager to manage schedules necessary to clean the GMP controlled environment and support areas to comply with GMP requirements
  • Participate in required training on the use of sanitization disinfectants and equipment
  • Follow cGMPs as outlined in 21 CFR Part 211
  • Helps control what enters the GMP process areas
  • Provide refresher training of sanitization practices as needed.
  • Understands and follows proper procedures with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Act as a backup to the Supervisor/s
  • Performs related duties as assigned
