About The Position

Western Specialty Contractors is expanding our Roofing team in Peoria, IL! Our roofers averaged 1795 hours of roofing work last year and are looking forward to another busy year. For this role, we are looking for a hands-on leader with 10+ years of experience in commercial, low-slope roofing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in commercial, low-slope roofing.

Responsibilities

• Identify existing and predictable hazards to work surroundings, including working conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees.
• Supervise workers assigned to the area of responsibility to ensure that work complies with specifications and meets quality standards.
• Communicate effectively to supervise employees and maintain customer relations.
• Identify and investigate leaks, and lead and carry out patching and repair projects in all types of commercial roofs.
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds.
• May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials during installation.
• Oversee and maintain company safety requirements and ensure that they are known and understood by all workers.
• Other tasks as required based on business need.
