Job Title: Unified Communications Technician Cost Center: 101651147 System Support-IS-Infrastructure Svcs Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: 40 Normal (United States of America) Job Description: JOB SUMMARY The Communications Technician is responsible for personnel, management and coordination of nursing service activities in collaboration with out contracted programs for scheduled shift, in accordance with established philosophy, objectives, and policies of the hospital to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. Relates effectively with a wide range from patients from pediatric students and workforce management while coordinating care services with the leadership at the Occupational Medicine Program and the administrations of our contracted partner facilities for continuity of care. JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. Minimum Required: Must be a high school graduate. Preferred/Optional: Education in electronics ac and dc voltage. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Minimum Required: Two years working in electronics field with strong Mechanical background. Possesses good verbal and written communication skills. Interacts appropriately and positively with peers, patients, families, physicians, and professionals. Maintains professionalism in the community, protects patient confidentiality and serves as a patient advocate at all times. Must be able to communicate well with staff at all levels; Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times; Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making; develop specific plans to prioritize and accomplish duties; communicate knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people and property Preferred/Optional: Healthcare experience.
