About The Position
The Underwriting Trainee position at Berkley Surety Group is an entry-level role designed for recent college graduates or individuals with no prior surety experience. The trainee will participate in a comprehensive Surety-specific training program under the supervision of an Underwriting Officer or Manager. The training will encompass reading assignments and on-the-job training, focusing on financial analysis and the fundamentals of contract surety underwriting. Upon successful completion of the program, the trainee will transition to a position in the Westbrook, ME office.
