Let’s care for tomorrow. Underwriting Technicians are responsible for developing strong relationships with our brokers, underwriters, and operations partners. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Property & Casualty and/or Specialty Insurance;
  • Experience in policy administration or other core insurance services, with an advanced understanding of the policy administration life cycle (e.g., information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, and cancellation);
  • Account management experience;
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment;
  • Ability to build and foster relationships across the organization and with our brokers/clients;
  • Excellent knowledge Microsoft Office applications;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills;
  • A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide back office support to a team of National Accounts Liability Underwriters.
  • Provide effective and efficient service to brokers, clients, underwriting, claims and credit control/accounting.
  • Responsible for supporting UW production by reviewing and interpreting source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information - including broker presentation, slips, underwriting files and accounts / loss history – and if required, interact with UW/Broker in case of missing information.
  • Act as a point of contact for underwriters, brokers, and operations offshore Account Technicians, and support timely and accurate delivery of Quotes, Policy documentation, Endorsements, etc.
  • Proactive communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively and collaboratively manage and prioritize workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met.
  • Support continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.
