Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or insurance coursework preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and readiness to learn company systems.
  • Interest or foundational knowledge in risk analysis and insurance principles.

Responsibilities

  • Process policy changes, reinstatements, cancellations, renewals, and non-renewals within assigned authority.
  • Support core underwriting functions such as property inspections, driver discovery surveys, and agency transfers.
  • Partner with agents and policyholders to collect details, resolve issues, and communicate underwriting decisions clearly.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with company procedures and service standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and departments to address underwriting questions and advance departmental goals.
  • Continue learning through ongoing training and development to enhance underwriting expertise.
