About The Position

Job Summary In this role you will handle incoming calls from customers, agents, and policyholders related to insurance applications or existing policies. You will work in a collaborative environment providing administrative support for the Underwriting department. All employees in Personal Lines whose essential job function includes but is not limited to direct communication with customers and/or agents, must hold a valid Resident State Insurance license and be able to obtain and maintain reciprocal licensing for all 50 states within the continental United States.

Requirements

  • Min 1 year of Property & Casualty Insurance experience
  • Property and Casualty Insurance licenses required (4-40 or 20-44)
  • Passion for customer service
  • Advanced computer skills and insurance systems knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
  • Demonstrated customer service focus required
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external personnel and partners
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Results driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized

Nice To Haves

  • English - Spanish Bilingual skills is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service to agents and policyholders in a moderate to high-volume call center environment
  • Processes corrections or adjusts records when needed, following the appropriate company guidelines
  • Reviews, organizes, and forwards information to be escalated for resolution as needed
  • Adheres to the established productivity and quality metrics established
  • Other tasks and projects as may be assigned
  • In this role, you may be required to work extended hours and weekends to support business operations during a catastrophe, such as a hurricane affecting Safepoint’s policyholders
  • Use telephone and computer systems to communicate with and service customers
  • Use computer system to research information on risks
  • Ability to take at least 50 phone calls per day
  • Ability to adhere to regular attendance schedule on-site
  • Ability to obtain and maintain resident Property & Casualty insurance licensing through the Florida DFS, and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states in the continental United States
