About The Position

Position Summary The Inspection Team provides support to the underwriting teams by assisting with all aspects of the inspection procedures. Team members are tasked with various steps of the inspection process that range from interactions with inspection vendors to making decisions based on underwriting guidelines. The Underwriting Operations Technician is the main point person for daily dealings with underwriters, agents, inspection vendors, and insurance carriers. The expectation for the Underwriting Operations Technician is to provide professional, detailed, and effective interactions with all parties involved in inspection transactions. Quality control of the inspection processes and decisions based on the underwriting guidelines. Quality control of inspection vendors and their reports. Handling of high complexity inspection team tasks. Communicating to underwriters, inspection vendors, agents, and insurance carriers. Identifying trends, gathering data, defining issues, and implementing solutions. Other duties to meet business needs. Requirements

  • 6 months to a year of Property/Casualty insurance experience preferred.
  • Basic Property/Casualty underwriting comprehension preferred.
  • Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, One Note)
