About The Position

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Underwriting Operations Specialist to join a team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating training, developing resources, and driving continuous improvement within the underwriting department.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
Strong knowledge of NCCI, PAAS, and underwriting business processes.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
Excellent interpersonal, project management, and leadership skills.
Strong decision-making, critical-thinking, and communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

Preferred insurance industry certifications such as CPCU, ARM, or Associate in Premium Audit.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the training manager to facilitate new-hire onboarding and ongoing department training sessions, covering topics such as underwriting systems, workers' compensation, property, liability, and commercial auto coverage.
Develop and maintain online underwriting resources, policies, manuals, training materials, and procedures to ensure consistent application across the department.
Provide support to other departments by sharing underwriting knowledge and expertise to help achieve organizational goals.
Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing changes to workflows, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Identify problems, research solutions, and collaborate on the design and implementation of effective resolutions.
Develop and maintain tools and resources to support underwriting operations.
