PCI is seeking an Underwriting Manager with a strong background in consumer credit or risk decisions who is passionate about coaching, consistency, and quality. The right candidate will understand the impact of underwriting decisions on customers and the business, relate well to underwriting teams, and enjoy partnering with Credit Risk to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers in a call center-style operational environment, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. Oversee daily underwriting operations, ensuring consistent and accurate application of underwriting policies and Credit Risk guidelines. Serve as an escalation point for complex, exception-based, or out-of-policy credit decisions. Monitor and manage performance metrics such as approval rates, turnaround time, error rates, and quality assurance results. Partner closely with Credit Risk, Compliance, and Product teams to improve underwriting workflows, tools, and decisioning efficiency.
