The company's primary commitment is to match industry specialization and superior underwriting analysis with customized distribution strategies for various growth sectors of the US and Global economies. Our company includes a series of niche insurance programs targeting a variety of industries including but not limited to cannabis, logging, manufactured housing, professional lines, and hospitality, complemented by an internal wholesale brokerage. A successful candidate will be driven, eager to learn, and excited about working in a dynamic, high-growth environment where they will be afforded the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the program administrator space of the insurance industry. Attention to detail and general technical aptitude is required, but prior industry experience is not necessary and all majors will be considered. The position requires 40 hours/week and pays $20.00/hour. Location is primarily in-office (Sandy Springs/Perimeter North).

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work effectively in an early stage, high growth environment
  • Willingness to learn quickly in a constantly-evolving environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office & Excel
  • Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor's Degree (Risk Management & Insurance degree preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Review applications and perform initial underwriting for incoming submissions
  • Identifying and gathering relevant account information for new business and renewal policy activity
  • Participate with Underwriters in the renewal and new business activities that support marketing and underwriting decisions that are consistent with growth and retention goals
  • Process endorsements, policy changes, and account renewals
  • Assess clients’ current insurance placements for strengths and deficiencies
  • Work directly with specialized insurance brokers to develop business relationships
  • Scheduling inspections and monitoring for compliance with recommendations
  • Manage account documentation
