About The Position

The Specialty Equipment Services division at Great American Insurance Group is seeking an Intern to support the Product Management/Underwriting Department. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in relevant academic programs, providing them with hands-on experience in the insurance industry while contributing to various projects and tasks within the division.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, communications, or risk management and insurance.
• An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Availability to work 40 hours in the summer and 10-20 hours while in school.

Responsibilities

• Research and classify various equipment exposures.
• Setup and make modifications to policies in the Policy Configuration System.
• Complete the underwriting for policy change endorsements.
• Prepare monthly audit of large exposures.
• Prepare monthly reporting of sales opportunities to Divisional Leadership.
• Underwrite assigned large risk exposures.
• Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.
