Your Role: You will work closely with insurance agents and brokers to bind insurance and service policies and follow up on underwriting information. Your role will encourage growth and development among team members, enhancing their insurance acumen for long-term advancement.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail: Strong commitment to customer service and meticulous attention to detail
  • Organizational skills: Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills
  • Independence: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
  • Desire to learn: Eagerness to understand and learn about our insurance product offerings
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Property/Casualty insurance experience preferred
  • History of continuing insurance education is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure the best possible outcome for all inquiries while minimizing touches and providing excellent customer service
  • Evaluation: Evaluate applications, web search results, and business quotes via the web
  • Customer inquiries: Review and professionally handle all customer inquiries, focusing on quality and efficiency
  • Relationship building: Strengthen customer relationships through excellent service via phone and email communication. Foster a collaborative team environment
  • Underwriting approval: Work within underwriting authority and obtain underwriter approval when necessary
  • Critical thinking: Apply critical thinking, problem solving and an underwriting mindset to all accounts
  • Professional development: Pursue growth and development opportunities through USLI University, continuing education, workshops, and classes
  • Process improvement: Communicate ideas for procedural or workflow improvements.
  • Reporting: Complete departmental specific reports or projects, including daily follow-ups and research on Bound Not Issued items
  • Training: Assist in training new team members when ready
