About the position

With our own continued growth, we remain committed to helping small businesses succeed every day. FinTap is looking for the right candidate to join our team as an Underwriting Assistant. We're seeking a dedicated and driven individual who can help us as we experience increasing demand. The Underwriting Assistant will play a crucial role in our operations by acquiring necessary documentation needed in accordance with submissions, including merchant processing statements and any correlated financials. This position involves filtering merchant applications for further review by a Junior Underwriter, running credit reports on new applicants, and performing data entry tasks. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, possess quick typing abilities, and have the capability to handle and prioritize multiple projects at any given time, as well as associated conflict/resolution. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively within a team under unexpected pressures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) is required, and experience with Salesforce is preferred. An Associate's Degree in Finance or a related field is also necessary.

Responsibilities
