Requirements

• Strong commitment to customer service and meticulous attention to detail
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
• Eagerness to learn and understand our insurance product offerings
• College degree or equivalent business experience required

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure the best possible outcome for all inquiries while minimizing touches and providing excellent customer service
• Evaluate applications, web search results, and business quotes via the web with guidance from coaches and leaders
• Gather information and approval where necessary to prepare binders for delivery to customers
• Apply critical thinking, problem solving and an underwriting mindset to all accounts
• Pursue growth and development opportunities through USLI University, continuing education, workshops, and classes
• Communicate ideas for procedural or workflow improvement
• Complete departmental specific reports or projects, including daily follow-ups and research on Bound Not Issued items
• Develop in-depth knowledge of all products handled within the specific Underwriting Assistant Team
• Understand inter-departmental relationships and the duties of each, including Policy Issuance, Underwriting Services, Billing, and Underwriting
