About The Position

The Underwriting Assistant for Financial Lines at Chubb is responsible for supporting the underwriting process across various insurance coverages, including Cyber, MPL, and POL. This role contributes to achieving financial and service goals while ensuring compliance with standardized workflows. The assistant will manage policy issuance, account management, and communication with agents and underwriters, ensuring the integrity of electronic files and addressing any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the underwriting process for multiple lines of insurance coverage including Cyber, MPL, and POL.
  • Book, bind, and issue new line and renewal policies, mid-term endorsements, and cancellations.
  • Assist with account management and achievement of service goals.
  • Communicate with agents/brokers and underwriters regarding the status of open items.
  • Ensure electronic file integrity and process cancellations, BORs, and countersigning.
  • Research and resolve premium discrepancies and compliance-related issues.
  • Coordinate the renewal process for the underwriter and review renewal submissions for completeness.
  • Analyze renewal account-specific information, including loss information and financials.
  • Create underwriting analysis templates and document renewal changes for referral to the underwriter.
  • Rate renewal policies and determine pricing strategy in conjunction with the underwriter.
  • Coordinate the quotation process and complete quote letters for referral to the underwriter.
