The Underwriting position is in our Jersey City, NJ office where you will have the opportunity to work on FI and/or public commercial accounts for TM HCC’s D&O Group.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Previous work experience in the relevant areas of Management Liability

Responsibilities

  • Follow underwriting guidelines to submit financial review along with exposure, loss and coverage analysis for new and renewal business
  • Understanding policy forms and has the ability to discuss language with brokers and clients
  • Cultivate and maintain broker relations while having the ability to negotiate effectively and verbalize our underwriting decisions
  • Represent Tokio Marine HCC at underwriting meetings and manage client relationships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining profitability.
  • study financial, regional/national economic trends and industry conditions in the assigned underwriting discipline
