Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Property & Casualty (P&C) Wholesale Insurance Underwriter with 1–3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the underwriting and placement of commercial insurance risks through retail agency partners. This role involves evaluating submissions, analyzing exposures, and developing sound underwriting decisions while delivering exceptional service to agency clients.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field preferred).
1–3 years of experience in commercial P&C underwriting or brokerage, preferably in a wholesale or MGA environment.
Solid understanding of commercial insurance coverages and rating principles.
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Multi-lingual in spoken Chinese (mandarin or Cantonese)

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate commercial insurance applications and supporting documentation for new and renewal business.
Analyze risk characteristics, coverage requirements, and pricing adequacy to determine eligibility and terms.
Prepare and present quotes to retail agents in a timely and professional manner.
Negotiate terms and conditions with carriers and agents to achieve competitive and profitable results.
Manage underwriting files and ensure compliance with company guidelines, carrier requirements, and regulatory standards.
Maintain strong working relationships with retail agents and carrier partners.
Collaborate with management on complex accounts and assist in process improvements.
Support IT and operational efficiency initiatives as needed.
