Who You Are As an Underwriter, Risk you are someone from a large casualty insurer or broker that has experience with underwriting workers' compensation and other P & C programs. As an Underwriter, Risk you will analyze and evaluate workers’ compensation insurance risks to write, retain, and grow a profitable book of business. In addition, you are also someone that can quickly hit the ground running and enjoys being in a fast moving iterative environment with a strong culture. Your Success Profile What You Will Work On Apply sound, creative underwriting and business judgment in the timely analysis and evaluation of workers' comp insurance risks Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with broker, program administrator, and carrier Participate in company level strategic projects and/or special assignments Research and report on changes in compliance or legislative that may impact program structure and/or growth potential Perform other related duties as assigned How You Will Do Your Work As an Underwriter, Risk how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Workers’ Compensation and underwriting experience - history of working multiple geographies, industries, and account size preferred
  • Large account insurance brokerage or property & casualty carrier experience
  • Experience creating and presenting training for underwriters, sales personnel, brokers, etc
  • A self-starter who enjoys an entrepreneurial environment and wants to help build something meaningful
  • You like working with people and helping others solve problems

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance certifications are a plus (i.e. ARM, CPCU)
  • Research and technical data reporting experience is a plus

Responsibilities
