About The Position

The Underwriter for Marine Facilities at Chubb is responsible for evaluating and reviewing renewal and new accounts related to marinas, boat dealers, boat builders, and boat clubs. This role involves working within established underwriting guidelines across various lines of business, including Marine, General Liability, Property, Automobile, Worker's Compensation, and Bumbershoot. The Underwriter will collaborate with internal stakeholders and maintain positive relationships with brokers while demonstrating strong service orientation and technical expertise in commercial underwriting and marine insurance practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of underwriting experience in US marine, property, package, automobile, worker's compensation, and bumbershoot.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated technical acumen in Property and Casualty lines of business.
• Ability to adapt to a changing business environment.
• Proven time and desk management skills.
• Solid organizational and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate renewal and new marina, boat dealer, boat builder, and boat club accounts.
• Conduct renewal reviews and develop new business for the assigned territory.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including underwriters, claims, and loss control personnel.
• Maintain positive relationships with brokers and other stakeholders involved in the underwriting process.
