About The Position
Chubb is currently seeking a Commercial Lines - Life Sciences Underwriter to join our New York City Office. This role involves establishing relationships with key trading partners and driving submission activity across assigned Agents & Brokers in our desired industry segments. The Underwriter will be responsible for the profit, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business, which will consist of $7M-$8M in business. The position requires meeting or exceeding new business production goals of $1M - $1.5M while maintaining profitability across the assigned portfolio and adhering to authority and strategies. Additionally, the Underwriter will develop a prospect pipeline with major trading partners and engage other business units for cross-selling opportunities. In conjunction with an Underwriter Associate, the Underwriter will retain key assigned renewals and lead the coordination of Loss Control & Claims Service plans for service level accounts.
