The Amwins Underwriter L.A.U.N.C.H Program is an intensive education and training initiative designed for individuals looking to start their careers in underwriting. This program offers participants a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry, underwriting practices, and the Amwins organization, while also providing opportunities for professional development and networking. The program includes a three-month training period in Charlotte, NC, followed by relocation to an operating company location, with ongoing training and support throughout the early stages of their careers.

  • Support lead underwriter by gathering account information to rate, quote and bind policies.
  • Maintain and manage account documentation and files.
  • Communicate with clients and internal departments to gather information, provide updates, and resolve issues and inquiries.
  • Rate new or renewal quotes as directed by underwriter.
  • Monitor various reports for consistency.
  • Provide administrative support and other related services as needed (e.g., input account information into the system).
  • Travel as needed.
  • RMI degree preferred.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Interest and passion for insurance and underwriting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Highly motivated and a problem solver.
  • Located in the listed area.
  • Able to work in office.
