Responsibilities
- Assist Underwriter/Broker Senior in servicing and operational management of accounts.
- Underwrite, service, and manage assigned accounts.
- Meet Production and Service goals assigned and be measured on attainment of both.
- Underwrite individual insurance applications to cover property and casualty with guidelines set for the issuance of policies on a standard or substandard basis.
- Determine whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features, and other information pertinent to the decision.
- Maintain frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years related experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
