About The Position
Gulf and Bay Divers is seeking a SCUBA diver for underwater boat cleaning and dive work. The ideal candidate must be Open Water certified and possess a valid certification card along with relevant experience. It is crucial that applicants are currently SCUBA certified, as this is a requirement for the position. The role involves general dive work, and candidates must have their own dive gear and transportation to various job sites. This is a contractor position, meaning that payment is made per job completed rather than a fixed salary. Honesty and attention to detail are essential traits for this role, as divers will be expected to perform their tasks with precision and care. The pay rate for divers is competitive, with the potential to earn over $1,000 per week for those working full weeks. Divers will need to cover areas including Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Manatee Counties, with the home base being a factor in job assignments. Candidates must be capable of diving independently, often in low visibility conditions. The schedule is flexible, and there is a consistent availability of extra work, although weekends are not required. Serious candidates will have the opportunity to speak with current divers employed by the company before starting, and training will be provided for the right individual.
