About The Position

Javelin Utility Services Inc. is searching for an Underground Utility Laborer to join us in our Springfield, OR office. The Laborer would be doing work in new construction, replacement and repair of coax and fiber plant; placement and repair of conduit systems, pull or place coax and fiber, road, and driveway boring, asphalt cut and repair. The ability to read system prints is helpful.

Requirements

At least two (1) year of related construction experience
Be able to lift and carry 70 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. as needed with or without assistance
Must pass U/A Test (urinalysis)
Javelin Utility Services Inc. is a DRUG FREE WORKPLACE
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must have a clean driving record and a Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, relocation, and maintenance of aerial plants
Read and understand schematics and construction prints
Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
Loading and unloading materials and equipment
Tool and Equipment management
Underground activities, such as proof and place cable/fiber in conduit
Understand how to read and construct from design schematic of prints
Understand all inventory and equipment required for projects
Familiarity with POBT and ODOT rules and regulations
Knowledge of established underground cable installation procedures and techniques
