About The Position

Rangeline Tapping Services is looking for dedicated Field Technicians to maintain and operate water and wastewater utilities. The role involves troubleshooting utility operations and performing essential fieldwork, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water mains. Technicians will work independently and travel to various job sites, ensuring effective utility service delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 2 years of relevant work experience required.
• Completion of OSHA 10 within the first week of hire.
• Completion of OSHA 30 within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of Confined Space Training within one week of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of basic hand tools, materials, and equipment used in the job function.
• Ability to use pumps, compressors, and other appropriate equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and write legible reports.
• Ability to work on emergency repairs unsupervised or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water mains.
• Travel independently to multiple worksites using service trucks or equipment.
• Conduct line stops, wet taps, and valve insertions with various pipe types and products.
• Set up and break down line stops, tapping, and valve inserting equipment.
• Assist in shop duties as necessary.
• Work within confined spaces such as trench boxes, excavations, and mechanical rooms.
• Prepare and complete work orders and safety sheets.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
