We're seeking a dynamic professional to design, lead, and manage impactful training programs that enhance job performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong culture of workplace safety. In this high-responsibility role, you'll be the go-to expert for training field and plant personnel, developing hands-on, effective learning experiences while collaborating closely with supervisors and leadership.   • Design and implement comprehensive training programs across all divisions to elevate employee performance, operational efficiency, and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to identify training needs, develop targeted curricula, and align initiatives with operational goals, supporting employee excellence and customer service.
  • Lead and oversee safety training efforts in compliance with OSHA regulations, fostering a strong safety culture and promoting environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on training through classroom, field, and virtual formats-tailoring content to diverse learning styles and job functions.
  • Maintain accurate training records and track certifications to ensure compliance with ongoing education requirements, supporting accountability and financial stewardship.
  • Continuously improve training programs by analyzing feedback and performance data, while providing expert guidance on safety during infrastructure projects and daily operations.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or operation of water, wastewater, stormwater, streets, or related public infrastructure systems.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of professional or technical experience in conducting training, teaching, or managing safety programs within the utilities, environmental, or industrial safety and health fields.
  • OR must have a bachelor's degree in education, occupational safety, engineering, environmental science, public administration, or a closely related field.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in training development and delivery, within water, wastewater, public infrastructure, or a closely related utility environment. Two years of the required experience must include professional or technical experience in conducting training, teaching, or managing safety programs within the utilities, environmental, or industrial safety and health fields.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who possess a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Level III Water Distribution System License.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who possess a Florida Water & Pollution Control Operators Association (FWPCOA) Wastewater Collection System Operator Class C certification.
