About The Position

Position Details Responsible for all job related paperwork The ability to work long days (12 hours).

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to understand and accept safety standards
• Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions
• Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change
• Ability to work with a variety of personalities
• Willingness to work hard and be reliable
• Must maintain flexibility in the schedule during the busy season

Nice To Haves

• Water Sewer Apprentice license preferred, however not required
• OSHA underground and excavation training preferred, however not required

Responsibilities

• Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, cement or glue
• Cover pipes with earth or other materials
• Cut pipes to required lengths
• Dig trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching tools
• Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools
• Install and repair sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems
• Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisors
• Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices
• Any other miscellaneous task/duties as assigned
