About The Position

You'll play a critical role in supporting production activities and ensuring survey requirements are met across Galaxy's underground operations. Reporting to the Senior Underground Surveyor, you'll be responsible for maintaining spatial control, capturing accurate data, and enabling safe, efficient mining through high-quality survey deliverables.

Requirements

Diploma/Advanced Diploma or Tertiary Degree in Surveying
Experience in underground mine surveying (gold preferred)
Proficiency in Surpac or Deswik, MSO, Leica instruments, CMS, Trimble GPS, DJI drones
Familiarity with Agisoft, Quickslope, and Microsoft Office
Strong reporting skills and ability to deliver end-of-month volumes
WA “C” Class driver's licence and National Police Clearance

Responsibilities

Conduct underground surveys for development, production, and infrastructure
Maintain and update the underground void model and survey control across mine and surface areas
Accurately measure excavations and material movement, and produce high-standard survey plans and memos
Assist with end-of-month reporting, development volumes, and stockpile reconciliation
Monitor prisms in accordance with Ground Control Management Plans
Maintain and calibrate survey equipment and vehicles
Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory obligations
Collaborate with technical services and underground leadership teams
