About The Position

Underground Foreman Reports To: Underground Project Manager Direct Reports: Apprentices Join Team Kline – Where you’re not just an employee, you’re an owner! We’ve expanded our services to include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more! Job Summary: The Underground Foreman oversees site preparation, excavation, trenching, and other underground activities. This role includes managing daily activities, maintaining equipment, collaborating with the Project Managers and customers to meet project objectives.

Requirements

• 2+ years in underground; 1+ years in a supervisory role.
• Concrete finishing knowledge and experience.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, customer service, blueprint reading and communication abilities.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to be insured under company vehicle insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the underground crew, ensuring tasks are completed according to project plans.
• Work with Project Managers to plan and schedule activities; coordinate with other trades on-site.
• Interpreting blueprints and layouts.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections.
• Monitor work quality and ensure it meets company and client standards.
• Manage materials, tools, and equipment; track labor hours and material usage.
• Maintain daily logs and report progress to the Project Manager.
