The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician will repair and maintain associated surface fixed equipment and Underground infrastructure and equipment. Install, maintain, inspect, and repair underground electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, communication, and control systems Troubleshoot electrical faults on fixed plant and mobile mining equipment Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime and improve reliability Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and manuals Safely work on low, medium, and high-voltage systems in accordance with site procedures and legislation Install and maintain substations, switchgear, transformers, VFDs, and motor control systems Conduct lockout/tagout (LOTO), grounding, and testing procedures Identify electrical hazards and participate in risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs) Work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to support production goals Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs as required Follow all MSHA/OSHA regulations, site safety policies, and electrical codes Maintain a strong focus on personal safety, coworker safety, and equipment protection Participate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
