About The Position

This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. Our Underground Construction Technicians play a crucial role in building and maintaining our fiber optic network - keeping people connected to what matters most. You will operate construction equipment and install, repair, and locate conduits, vaults, pedestals, fiber & hybrid fiber coax (HFC) cables. Travel, including overnight stays, is a regular part of the job. Hotel accommodation and per diem are provided for overnight stays during the work week.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within company-required standards.
• 2 - 4 + years OSP Underground construction/maintenance experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of outside plant construction standards.

Nice To Haves

• CDL A.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Fiber Placement and Equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment and install, repair, and locate conduits, vaults, pedestals, fiber & hybrid fiber coax (HFC) cables.
• Become a subject matter expert in safely and accurately placing fiber optic cables, reading fiber maps, and collaborating with Field Operations and contractors.
• Work on a diverse range of projects including operating heavy machinery, using hand tools, site restoration, post construction projects, maintaining records, and more.
