Your role as a Underground Cable Locator As an Underground Cable Locator at Blue Ridge Mountain EMC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our electrical infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include locating underground utility lines and performing Utilities Protection Center locate requests as scheduled or required. You will coordinate with BRMEMC Dispatchers to ensure precise and timely locates while operating radio equipment in compliance with cooperative rules and regulations. This position also involves collaboration with other utilities, providing support to engineers in staking and accurately locating existing underground lines. Additionally, you will assist with troubleshooting efforts as needed, making this a vital role in maintaining the excellence and safety of our services. What you need to be successful To excel as an Underground Cable Locator at Blue Ridge Mountain EMC, candidates must possess a strong foundation in underground construction and a working knowledge of locate equipment, materials, and their applications.
