Works with Stone Lab Research Coordinator and visiting professors on a research project that focuses on an environmental issue affecting the Lake Erie region; reviews relevant literature on the research project; conducts the research, which may involve sample collection aboard Stone Laboratory research boats on Lake Erie, hiking in forests and meadows, or in another outdoor environment; may work with chemicals or handle vertebrates based on the research project; conduct data analysis; report writing; attends weekly program meetings; gives an oral presentation at the end of the program; maintains a clean laboratory and follows laboratory safety protocols; performs other duties as assigned. The position is a temporary appointment that will last from June 1 to July 31, 2026 (flexible beginning and end dates); the position is located at Put-In-Bay, Ohio.
