About The Position

Undergraduate Trainees will participate in experiential and didactic research training through lectures led by faculty and research staff and hands-on research study engagement by assisting as trainees in the labs of Dr. Joshua Joseph and Dr. Kristen Stanford. They will work in a summer research bootcamp where they will participate in core aspects of clinical research including research question development, scientific communication, research trial roles and responsibilities, grantsmanship, literature reviews and data management. They will also code in R and Python, all of which will lead to their work on developing their own research question, running data analysis, writing an abstract and presenting a poster.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in experiential and didactic research training through lectures led by faculty and research staff
  • Hands-on research study engagement by assisting as trainees in the labs of Dr. Joshua Joseph and Dr. Kristen Stanford
  • Participate in core aspects of clinical research including research question development, scientific communication, research trial roles and responsibilities, grantsmanship, literature reviews and data management
  • Code in R and Python
  • Work on developing their own research question
  • Run data analysis
  • Write an abstract
  • Present a poster
