About The Position

Undergraduate Research Assistants will support a community-based research project focused on conducting a needs assessment and designing culturally tailored intergenerational programs for Korean older adults in the Urbana–Champaign area. The project examines service barriers, social isolation, and community resources to inform future intervention development. Research Assistants will assist with survey administration, data entry, recruitment coordination, and research logistics in collaboration with community partners.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student at Illinois State University.
  • Interest in research related to aging, community engagement, or health disparities.
  • Interest in working with diverse and immigrant populations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: -Effectively communicate on a daily basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data entry or survey research.
  • Experience working with community organizations.
  • Korean language proficiency is desirable but not required.
