Anticipated End Date: August 14, 2026 – All interns must be in office and in person on their last day to return equipment. Interns must be located in the same location throughout the duration of their internship and are prohibited from returning laptop/equipment to a different office location or shipping their equipment back. Position Summary: Providing Comprehensive Financial Planning advice to high-net-worth families, business owners and entrepreneurs. An opportunity to work with experienced Personal Financial Planners, Portfolio Managers, Estate and Trust counsel on complex wealth management, wealth transfer issues and family governance. Team Culture: Collaborative team of experienced planners who support the wider organization in presenting the optimal financial solutions and strategies for a diversified client base. – CFPs, JDs, CFAs et al. A Wealth Planning Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to learn: Personal income tax and the impact on investment portfolios, retirement plans and distribution, risk management, insurance, estate and gift tax planning. This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 35 (dependent on state/location) hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $31 (dependent on location and function) USD per hour. Requirements

  • A basic comfort with cash flow spread sheets and balance sheets and willing to learn and analyze personal financial statements.
  • Interest in becoming proficient with financial planning structures, advice and software.

Responsibilities

  • Use of sophisticated tax and financial forecasting tools with the goal of presenting complex family wealth and tax issues in a manageable deliverable to solve for financial goals with optionality.
