About The Position
The Naperville Electric Department is seeking a self-motivated Electrical Engineering Intern looking to add meaningful value to an Electric Utility's engineering and operations. The Intern will get the opportunity to learn the Electric Distribution System, Substations, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), and Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) systems, while understanding how the utilities different departments operate within a unified leadership. A rotation through varying sections will provide a variety of experiences to help you grow as an Engineer. The hours are Monday - Friday (7 am - 3:30 pm), mid-May to mid-August. This position is an excellent opportunity to network with City employees and to learn and work for a very progressive organization.
