About The Position

The Undergraduate Admissions Counselor is an entry-level position responsible for managing a caseload of applications and guiding prospective students through the admissions process at Pratt Institute. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized, proactive guidance to prospective students throughout the admissions process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with students, parents, and educators via phone, text, and email.
  • Answer questions and help prospective students understand eligibility requirements and admission policies.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of academic programs, student services, and financial aid processes.
  • Participate in the decision-making process by advocating for students in the applicant pool.
  • Assist deposited applicants with enrollment processes and required forms.
  • Serve as a liaison for students with various campus offices.
  • Develop cultural awareness to advise students with empathy and understanding.
  • Manage and process student applications with attention to detail.
  • Review application materials and portfolios to determine eligibility for admission and scholarships.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track student interactions and application statuses.
  • Analyze data to inform recruitment strategies and applicant pool management.
  • Propose and execute recruitment plans, representing the institution at events.
  • Assist in planning and executing on-campus and virtual events.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to engage prospective students.
  • Participate in promoting events and general admissions information.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and training.
  • Support the training and mentoring of student ambassadors.
