About The Position

The Department of Statistics within the Eberly College of Science, is seeking a highly organized and student centered individual to serve as the Undergraduate Academic Program Coordinator - Intermediate Support. This position plays a critical role in supporting the academic and administrative functions of the undergraduate Statistics program, including academic advising, curriculum coordination, and student record management. The coordinator will work closely with faculty, students, and staff to ensure the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the program.

  • General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Required Certifications: None

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between Statistics undergraduate students, faculty, and various university offices (e.g., Admissions, Registrar, Bursar, Student Affairs, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain the schedule of courses in LionPath each semester, including course building, section creation, enrollment capacities, cross-listed courses, course controls, and special topics classes in collaboration with faculty and the department scheduler.
  • Monitor course enrollments and assist with waitlist management and enrollment adjustments and prerequisite override requests.
  • Utilize CollegeNET to reserve classrooms, schedule events, coordinate meetings, set up review sessions and troubleshoot other scheduling issues.
  • Prepare and maintain student files, monitor graduation requirements, assess and track degree audit progress.
  • Process course substitution petition in CSRS, update listserv, bulletin boards and website for ug programs.
  • Assign and manage student and instructor course evaluations each term (SEEQ), ensuring compliance with university and departmental procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute communications regarding deadlines, program requirements, and departmental opportunities.
  • Create and maintain databases, compile academic data and prepare reports for department leadership.
