The Academic Advisor fosters student success by identifying and implementing proactive strategies that help students stay on track to fulfill their educational goals. The individual in this role advises students on university policy and procedures, program and degree requirements, and related academic matters. The Advisor assists in student orientation, teaches student survey course, and participates in graduation-related work, including commencement rehearsal and lineup. The Advisor acquires information for students, including academic, career, financial, psychological, etc. The individual holding this position serves on department/college committees as assigned; participates in professional development activities. Occasional evening and weekends required. Provides Center of Life Sciences Education (CLSE) faculty and staff with additional advising-related support as needed. Completes special projects as requested/assigned by CLSE Director or Associate Directors. The College of the Arts and Sciences Center for Life Sciences Education is seeking an Undergraduate Academic Advisor.
