Position: Student Employee - College of Science and Health Department: Dean's Office College of Science and Health Classification: Part-time, non-benefit eligible Rate: IL State minimum wage Duties: Assist with general clerical and other support duties necessary to maintain a clean and functioning office under the supervision of the Dean's assistant or assigned faculty/staff member. Student must be mature, responsible, polite, and courteous. Student must be dependable and report to work when scheduled. Tasks and duties are assigned daily by the supervisor. Responsibilities: Maintain and upkeep of all the department office suites and other areas of the college. Provide assistance to faculty and staff such as organizing equipment and other needed tasks. Assist with mail and paper pick up from the mailroom. Assist with special events under the College of Science & Health. Required Qualifications: Must be a currently enrolled Benedictine student in good standing. High degree of confidentiality, accuracy, responsibility, and self-motivation as well as professional demeanor and appearance. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Use of computer screen, phone and customer service. May require bending or sitting for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The following of campus specific guidelines for pandemic protocols is required. Training: As a University employee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA related training to fulfill your job duties. Specific training will be conducted online or in person. Employees must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
