Primarily a globally integrated fixed-income manager, we source ideas and investment solutions worldwide, with an emphasis on long-term fundamental value investing, using multiple diversified strategies. Global Credit Research across Investment Grade, High Yield/Leveraged Loans, and Emerging Markets Corporate and Sovereign debt. You will be a member of a large, growing, and dynamic team of experienced investment professionals as part of a ten-week internship program designed to provide valuable career experience for highly motivated students that wish to apply their education and skills in a fast-paced learning environment. The role is an intensive program that allows the selected candidate to work alongside one of our full-time Credit Research analysts at the firm to: Conduct primary and secondary market research/relative value analysis, utilizing credit skills to identify investment opportunities; Build/maintain proprietary financial models for entire peer group in given sectors, accompanied by internal due diligence meetings with management teams/company visits; Make actionable investment recommendations by translating strategy in to executable trading options/solutions in an effort to increase portfolio returns; Interface with, and supports the Firm’s major proprietary and vendor related systems and applications; Develop reports to assist the Portfolio / Research Manager in assessing portfolio risk exposure, benchmark characteristics and trade allocation parameters; and Participate in department and sector team strategy meetings. Our team is comprised of more than 30 dedicated Research analysts across seven different offices around the globe. Members of the firm’s Research team have highly specialized skillsets and are subject matter experts and thought leaders in their respective sectors and industry verticals. The average number of years’ experience and tenure at the firm are 24 and 14, respectively, which we believe highlights the relative seniority of our team versus our peer group, as well as the collaborative work environment. An intern in this department can expect to learn: Specializing in a sector such as corporate bonds or emerging markets, you will collaborate with the wider team to support daily investment management activities. You’ll have a passion for markets, with outstanding levels of numeracy and excellent powers of analysis. But this is more than a support role: you’ll attend senior meetings and be expected to contribute ideas and opinions to the team.
