As an Unarmed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community. Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team is entrusted with delivering an exceptional experience for our clients while safeguarding their interests. It is essential to uphold the company’s professional image at all times—whether interacting with clients, the public, or law enforcement. As a member of our team, you are expected to embody and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct in all aspects of your work. Your schedule would be 5:00 pm-12:00 am Monday through Friday for a total of 35 hours with the opportunity of picking up additional shifts. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability. This position is heavily focused around social services. Candidates for this position must be comfortable around at-risk populations such as persons experiencing homelessness, drug and/or alcohol addictions, mental health crisis, trouble with the law, etc. Those with experience with or an interest in social work are encouraged to apply. A CPR certification is required for this site. If you are not currently certified, we provide CPR training. Candidates in this role must have a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the entry and exit points of the housing complex to ensure that only authorized residents, visitors, and staff have access.
  • Verify identification, conduct screenings, and maintain visitor logs to ensure the safety and security of all individuals on the premises.
  • Actively monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems to oversee the safety and activity within and around the housing complex.
  • Identify and respond to suspicious activities, safety hazards, or breaches of security protocols.
  • Maintain detailed logs of observations to support incident response and reporting.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, ensuring inquiries are handled professionally.
  • Serve as the point of contact for police, fire, and medical personnel during emergencies.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and security breaches in clear, accurate, and comprehensive reports.
  • Employ effective de-escalation techniques to handle conflicts and disruptive behavior among residents or visitors.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pass required background check
  • Able to work the posted hours without modification
  • Wear required uniform throughout the entire duration of your assigned shift
  • Able to stand for up to eight hours at a time
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Able to walk around and up and down stairs for your entire shift
  • Able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with or an interest in social work
  • CPR certification (if not certified, training is provided)
