As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response as needed. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and deliver customer service with integrity. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems as assigned, and report irregularities to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, including relevant details for follow-up.
Perform routine checks of doors, gates, loading areas, and equipment rooms for signs of damage, forced entry, and/or unsecured conditions.
Assist with emergency situations such as medical incidents, fire alarms, and/or evacuations by following post orders and communicating updates to responders and site leadership.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, contractors, and delivery drivers to support orderly operations while maintaining post requirements.
Support access management for deliveries and service vendors by confirming work authorization, directing to designated areas, and noting arrival and departure times as required.
