About The Position

As a Unarmed Security Professional - Access Control in King William, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a leading food and beverage location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and vendors, always providing outstanding customer service while upholding our company’s values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises following site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with security-related inquiries and directions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as required by site-specific procedures.
